Guaranteed vs. Non-Guaranteed Permanent Life Insurance Policies
With a non-guaranteed policy the owner, in exchange for a lower premium and possibly better return, is assuming much of the investment risk as well as giving the insurer the right to increase policy fees. If things don’t work out as planned, the policy owner has to absorb the cost and pay a higher premium.Fifty years ago, most life insurance policies sold were guaranteed and offered by mutual fund companies. Choices were limited to term, endowment or whole life policies. It was simple, you paid a high, set premium and the insurance company guaranteed the death benefit. All of that changed in the 1980s. Interest rates soared, and policy owners surrendered their coverage to invest the cash value in higher interest paying non-insurance products. To compete, insurers began offering interest-sensitive non-guaranteed policies.Guaranteed versus Non-Guaranteed PoliciesToday, companies offer a broad range of guaranteed and non-guaranteed life insurance policies. A guaranteed policy is one in which the insurer assumes all the risk and contractually guarantees the death benefit in exchange for a set premium payment. If investments underperform or expenses go up, the insurer has to absorb the loss.

Who killed the ROYAL FAMILY ? Narayanhity Durbar Hatyakanda

CONSPIRACY AND RUMOURS ABOUT INCIDENT : His wife Komal, Paras and daughter Prerana were in the room at the royal palace during the massacre. While the entire families of Birendra and Dipendra were wiped out, nobody amongst Gyanendra’s family died; his son escaped with slight injuries, His wife sustained a life threatening bullet wound but survived.Despite the fact that two survivors have publicly confirmed that Dipendra did the shooting, as was documented in a BBC documentary,[4] the chain of events is disputed by some Nepalese. After the monarchy was abolished through a populist uprising there have been several claims refuting the official report, among them is a recent book published in Nepal named Raktakunda recounting the massacre. It looks at the incident through the eyes of one of the surviving witnesses, Queen Mother Ratna’s personal maid, identified in the book as Shanta. The book, which the author says is a “historical novel”, posits that two men masked as Crown Prince Dipendra fired the shots that led to the massacre. Shanta’s husband, Trilochan Acharya, also a royal palace employee, was killed along with 10 royal family members, including the entire family of King Birendra. In addition to details of the royal massacre, Shanta alleged many other cover-ups by the royal family, including a claim that the previous king King Mahendra committed suicide. Many Nepalese people are skeptical of the official report that the then Crown Prince Dipendra carried out the murder. King Birendra and his son Dipendra were very popular and well respected by the Nepalese population. Subsequently, Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, the chairman of the Nepalese Maoist Party, in a public gathering claimed that the massacre was planned by the Indian intelligence agency RAW or the American CIA Promoters of these ideas allege Gyanendra had a hand in the massacre so that he could assume the throne himself. His ascension to the throne would only be possible if both of his nephews Dipendra and Nirajan were eliminated. Moreover, Gyanendra and especially his son Prince Paras were grossly unpopular with the public. On the day of the massacre he was in Pokhara whilst other royals were attending a dinner function.

The China Central Television (CCTV) report came after Tsai Ing-wen , chairwoman of the main opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), won a landslide victory in Taiwan’s presidential election and her party also gained a legislative majority, winning 68 seats in the 113-member Legislature.
In the report, CCTV said the 31st Group Army, a military formation of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) based in the southeastern city of Xiamen, had conducted a large-scale live-fire landing drill off Southeast China.According to the report, long-range rocket, self-propelled artillery, amphibious tank and helicopter units took part in the drill, but it did not say exactly when the exercise was staged. There have been concerns that relations across the Taiwan Strait would deteriorate under Tsai’s administration, since the DPP is known for its pro-Taiwan independence stance. However, Tsai, without using the term “1992 consensus,” said she “understands and respects” the “historic fact” that Taiwan and China “reached some common acknowledgments and understanding in 1992”.In an interview published Thursday in Taiwan’s Liberty Times daily, Tsai said both sides of the Taiwan Strait will need to work hard to build a “consistent, predictable and sustainable” cross-strait relationship.

Talking About King Birendra

King Birendra was described even by his school teachers as a very kind and emotional prince, and is frequently known to the people of Nepal as one of greatest kings, if not the greatest leading monarch the Nepali citizens ever had, unlike his brother, Gyanendra. King Birendra was described as one of the few Nepalese monarchs who wanted the Nepalese people to experience real democracy. This was observed in the 2036 B.S. Janmat Sangraha (1980 Referendum) when he wanted the people to choose whether they wanted ‘Multiparty Democracy’ or a ‘Reformed Panchayat System’. Also, in People’s Movement I, he decided to establish ‘Constitutional Monarchy’ in Nepal instead of fighting for dictatorshipThe stability of Nepal was threatened even more when Birendra and his family (including Queen Aishwarya) were massacred at a royal dinner on 1 June 2001. Almost all of the Royal family members were killed in the massacre except Gyanendra Shah, Birendra’s younger brother. Dipendra was proclaimed king but died a few days later of self-inflicted gunshot wounds sustained in the massacre. Thus Gyanendra then became king. Eyewitness reports and an official investigation (carried by a two-man committee made up of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Keshav Prasad Upadhaya and the Speaker of the House of Representatives Taranath Ranabhat),[19] confirmed that Dipendra was the gunman. A detailed investigation is impossible as the “Tribhuvan Sadan” (the building where the massacre occurred) was demolished by the Gyanendra government.

Films, in Nepal, are taking a bound towards post-modernized art. Despite few (or perhaps, many) unsuccessful films, some have started to leave a mark-the welcoming of New Generation, the New Nepali Cinemascope. Though not commercially conquering, many a film made within the contending industry have poised themselves as a strong competitor in captivating the heart of the mass and the class alike. Small budgets cinema that carries all- entertainment, a therapy to emotional scratch, note to the audiences, portrays hard work of the team. Saghuro, Kathaa, Manjari, Antaral, Hostel to name few; have left a lasting impression on the viewers. Few upcoming movies like Mokshya, Jholey, Ritu, Raghav, Fitkiri, Mukhauta, look equally captivating. But, the challenge now is on commercialization. Who will instigate? Film industry is not just a story of hue and cry of the directors, producers and actors in particular but the national spectator as a whole. The industry, in many parts of the globe, contributes to economy. To a large extent even. Many countries have developed some of their cities as Film Cities endorsing tourism as well.

Madan (Kumar) Bhandari (1952- 1993) was a prominent Nepali political leader belonging to the CPN (UML), a democratic communist party in Nepal. Bhandari is best known for his unflinching stance on nationalism and his ideological concept of People’s Multiparty Democracy, which advocated that communists can reach socialism or socialist goals through people’s mandate or through elections. After the 1990’s democratic movement in Nepal, Bhandari challenged the incumbent prime minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai in parliamentary elections from a constituency in Kathmandu and defeated him with a landslide victory. After his victory, Newsweek magazine published an interview of Bhandari with the title “Nepal Where Karl Marx Lives” apparently likening him with Karl Marx.
